Alain Bañon was born in Barcelona 1970. Independent photographer based in the Dominican Republic since 2000.

After studies of journalism and photography in BCN, he started to travel choosing the cultural anthropology as a base for his work. Alain has done articles in Spain, Morocco, Nepal, France, Bulgary, Haiti, New York, Cuba, and The Dominican Republic. He also has had many exhibitions collectives and individuals. His first book¡ÈDominican Republic¡Éwas also a tribute to author photography and 35mm film.
